Reception Honors Artists In Brooksville Today
BROOKSVILLE - Three local artists and their work will be on hand at a reception today.
The reception is slated for 5 to 7 p.m. at the Rising Sun Cafe, 10 S. Main St..
Louise Applegate, a New York native, has pursued her hobby of oil painting since retiring to Spring Hill in 1996.
Laura Diehm, a substitute teacher for Hernando School District and facilitator of Chocachatti's Micro Society's new venture, "The Best of Chocachatti Magazine," primiarly works in oil.
And Kathleen Wilson, a Florida native who has been studying art since discovering watercolors in the year 2000, is an art teacher for the Hernando County Adult Education program.
Admission to the reception is free. Coffee andcookies will be served. Donations of canned goods will be accepted for Love Your Neighbor, a community outreach food pantry program.
