Bicyclist Fatally Struck By Car

BROOKSVILLE - Police say a homeless man was fatally struck by a car as he pedaled his bicycle in the area of North Broad Street and the Hilltop Lounge on Tuesday night. David Williams, 51, died from his injuries after the 8:30 p.m. accident. The suspect fled the scene, police say.
Williams did not have lights on his bicycle, but he did have a rear-facing red reflector and amber-colored pedal reflectors. Anyone with information is urged to call Sergeant Marvin Maeder at 352-540-3800.
