Daniel "Eddie" McIntyre, 88, of Brooksville, died Wednesday, Jan. 14, at his home. He was born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, and was a lifelong resident of Brooksville.
Mr. McIntyre graduated from Hernando High School and the University of Florida, where he earned his bachelor's and master's degrees. He was a World War II U.S. Army Air Corp veteran, having served with the 5th Air Force in the Pacific Theatre. He worked in public education as a football coach and teacher at Bunnel High School in Flagler County. He retired from public education in 1986 as principal of Brooksville Primary School and was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Brooksville.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Lee; a son, Dan McIntyre of Vero Beach; and two grandchildren.

Edith E. Witkowski, 95, of Spring Hill, died Monday, Jan. 12. She was born in Buffalo, N.Y., and moved to this area 25 years ago from Fort Lauderdale.
Mrs. Witkowski was a retired waitress and a Lutheran by faith.
Survivors include her daughter, Ruth Moran of Spring Hill; and many grandchildren.

Glen A. Mills, 47, of Brooksville, died Monday, Jan. 12, at Oak Hill Hospital. He was born in Elmhurst, Ill., and moved to this area 10 years ago from Clearwater.
Mr. Mills was a window installer for Harmin Home Builders and a Catholic by faith.
Survivors include his wife, Jo-Ann; two sons, Gordon J. Mills and Ian N. Mills, both of Brooksville; and three sisters, Marion Englehardt and Teresa Mills-Becker, both of Brooksville, and Carol Kellin of Cedar Key.
