Grandmother Shows Deputy Her Marijuana Garden
BROOKSVILLE A 60-year-old woman was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of growing marijuana.
A deputy investigating a verbal disturbance at 6374 Goodway Drive was told by the suspect's daughter and granddaughter about the plants Ida May Wallace was reportedly growing for her personal use.
Wallace freely admitted to the deputy that she was growing marijuana and led the deputy to her backyard where the 13 plants where growing, an affidavit shows. The deputy reported that the plants were between five and 14 inches in height.
Wallace was charged with cultivation of marijuana.
Woman Struck In Head With Marijuana Smoking Pipe
SPRING HILL Deputies say a woman was struck on the head with a marijuana smoking pipe during an argument on Tuesday.
The victim told deputies that she was upset about the suspect, Cesar Baez, smoking pot in front of their children, according to a report. When she confronted him and broke one of his pipes, Baez reportedly struck her with a six-inch wooden pipe.
The blow was hard enough to cause bleeding, but the victim refused medical treatment. Baez, 23, was charged with domestic battery.
