Second Annual 10K/5K/1Mile Fun Charity Run-Walk For Jericho Road Ministries

SPRING HILL - Jericho Road Ministries is now taking registrations for the second annual 10K/5K/1 Mile Charity Run-Walk to be held at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, April 18 in River Country. Participants will organize at the entrance to the River Country subdivision on U.S. 19.
The entry fee is $20 for pre-race registration or $25 for registration on the day of the race. There is a special $3 registration for children under 12.
The goal is to raise money to benefit Jericho Road Ministries, which established and operates a men's shelter and recovery program. It also operates Mary's House, a shelter/recovery residence for homeless women. All participants in the 10K/5K/1 mile charity run-walk are asked to recruit sponsors to pledge money to be donated in their name to Jericho Road Ministries upon completion of the run-walk.
Registration begins at 7 a.m. The 10K run begins at 7:30 and the 5K begins at 8. Walkers start around 7:45. Following the run-walk, awards will be presented at the entrance to River Country. There also will be refreshments.
In-person registrations can be taken at Genesis Health and Fitness, 8411 Balm St. (just south of the big dinosaur on U.S. 19) in Spring Hill.
Local sponsors include Hernando Today, Spring Hill Dental Associates, Chick-fil-A, Vince Vanni and Associates Inc., Farm Bureau Insurance, Advanced Professional Roofing, DOGS Behavior and Training, Genesis Health and Fitness, WWJB, River Country Community Association and Publix. Sponsorships are still available.
Awards include T-shirts (guaranteed to pre-registrants only). There will be an award for overall individual male and female and overall masters (over 50 male and female).
