Spring Hill - A 75-year-old Spring Hill man was killed in a three-car collision Monday morning on County Line Road, east of Runyon Drive.
Troopers say the deceased, Roosevelt Morin, pulled out in front of an eastbound car from the Dollar General parking lot, causing the first collision around 9 a.m. The impact spun Morin's Mercedes counterclockwise until it came to a stop in the westbound lane. A semi tractor-trailer truck going west then struck the stationary car, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Meanwhile, the eastbound car was still spinning from the force of the first collision and it overturned before coming to a rest upright on the road shoulder. The Honda's driver, Daniel Giddings, 24, of Spring Hill, was flown to a Tampa hospital in critical condition.
The tractor trailer's driver, Craig Toland, 49, of Brooksville, received minor injuries.
