Eldridge Road Work Prompts 'Boil' Notice

BROOKSVILLE - Between the hours of 11 p.m. and 4 a.m. Monday, Feb. 23, Meadors Construction will be making waterline improvements on Eldridge Road in front of the Eldridge Water Plant.
The Hernando County Utilities Department reported it will be necessary to interrupt service to about 30 customers in the surrounding area.
There will be a "Precautionary Boil Water Notice" delivered to all customers affected by the interruption. While the service is off, customers should turn off their water heaters and sprinkler systems to prevent damage.
Utilities department officials will rescind the notice at the appropriate time.
