Squirmy' Suspect Leads To Arrest
BROOKSVILLE - Some squirmy suspects caught a police officer's attention Friday and led to the confiscation of 23 grams of cocaine worth $1,150.
The officer was on patrol in Hillside Estates, 800 Continental Drive, around 1:30 a.m. when he spotted a "suspicious" black Mitsubishi parked on the street. When the men inside the car saw the approaching cruiser, they began "squirming around," a report states.
The officer talked with the driver, James Adams, who gave permission to search his car. The drugs were reportedly found in a drink cup in the center console.
Adams, 18, was arrested on a charge of possession of cocaine.
