BROOKSVILLE A telecommunications supervisor at the sheriff's office was demoted Monday after she altered a subordinate's time sheet, according to an in-house investigation released Wednesday.
The employee working under Barbara Luczynski requested the time off, but a suitable arrangement could not be worked out. Instead, Luczynski arranged a deal under the table for the employee to work a different shift and manipulated the reported hours to reflect that plan, the report states.
The discrepancy was noticed and reported. An in-house investigation was launched and concluded that Luczynski violated the sheriff's truthfulness policy.
The letter demoting Luczynski states she showed "extremely poor judgment" for someone with 17 years as a supervisor.
