James W. Starkey, 85, of Brooksville, died Thursday, Aug. 6. He was born in Hamlin, W.Va., and moved to this area 11 years ago from Dunnellon.
Mr. Starkey was a retired truck driver, World War II U.S. Army veteran and a member of the VFW and American Legion.
Survivors include his son, Billy Joe Starkey of Dunnellon; and three grandchildren.
Arrangements by Merritt Funeral Home, Spring Hill Chapel.
Orlena C. Frazier, 78, of Brooksville, died Sunday, Aug. 9, at her home. She was born in Swainsboro, Ga., and moved to this area 57 years ago from Tifton, Ga.
Mrs. Frazier was a retired floral designer for Allen's Florist, a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Brooksville.
Survivors include her husband, Walter Thomas; three sons, Richard, David and Don, all of Brooksville; a daughter, Susan Ragan of Plains, Ga.; a brother, Alec Colley of Altamonte Springs; two sisters, Zeph Rogers of Huntsville, Ala., and Jean Medford of Tifton; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren
