BROOKSVILLE - The city's public works director has been placed on paid administrative leave, but a city official would not disclose why.
Emory Pierce, who has served as the director for 13 years, was placed on leave Monday, City Manager Jennene Norman-Vacha confirmed Wednesday.
She said it was for an investigation into "particular issues and concerns," but declined to go into detail until the investigation is complete.
She expected a resolution in several days.
Dick Radacky, the county's former utilities director and one-time interim county administrator, is filling in for Pierce temporarily.
