BROOKSVILLE - The Brooksville Relay Life was held Friday and Saturday at the Hernando High School track and field. This year, 2009, marked the 25th anniversary of the event, which is held in cities across the country to raise money to find a cure for cancer. This year's theme for the Brooksville event was "Cruising for a Cure: Wave Goodbye to Cancer!"
Cancer survivors and their friends and family walked from 6 p.m. Friday to noon Saturday in memory of loved ones who died from the disease.
