BROOKSVILLE - A crumb of crack cocaine worth 20 cents landed a man in jail on Wednesday.
Deputies patrolling Leonard Street on foot approached a car around 4 p.m. that had pulled into a driveway. Deputies asked the passenger, Celestine Carter, 53, and the driver for identification and said they saw a drug-smoking pipe in the woman's purse as she searched for her ID.
A search of the car reportedly produced a piece of crack cocaine that weighed .01 gram. The driver, Frank Bailey, 37, was charged for its possession.

'Suspicious' Behavior Leads To Marijuana Citations

SPRING HILL Two men were given citations Wednesday after a deputy spotted marijuana in their car while they pumped gas.
The suspects' "suspicious" behavior caught the attention of a deputy on patrol at the Hess Express, 3495 Deltona Blvd., and the deputy stopped to observe their actions. The deputy said there was a bag of marijuana in plain view on the front driver's side seat, which was later weighed at 2.3 grams.
Both Jesse Flowers, 18, and Justin Tucker, 19, were given misdemeanor possession citations.
