BROOKSVILLE - A crumb of crack cocaine worth 20 cents landed a man in jail on Wednesday.
Deputies patrolling Leonard Street on foot approached a car around 4 p.m. that had pulled into a driveway. Deputies asked the passenger, Celestine Carter, 53, and the driver for identification and said they saw a drug-smoking pipe in the woman's purse as she searched for her ID.
A search of the car reportedly produced a piece of crack cocaine that weighed .01 gram. The driver, Frank Bailey, 37, was charged for its possession.
