It's time once again for the 3rd Annual Hernando County Crime Stoppers Inc. Trap Tournament and Turkey Shoot hosted by The Hernando Sportsman's Club. The event will take place on Saturday, Sept. 27 at 9 a.m. at the club range located 9 and a half miles north of S.R. 50 on U.S. 19.
Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. for the trap tournament. Pre-registration is $25 and $35 after September 22. Lunch is included. Bring your own gun and ammo.
Categories are teen, adult and senior. The tournament consists of four rounds with 25 shots per round and winners are determined by total number of birds hit per round.
The Turkey Shoot is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cost is $4 per shot or four shots for $15. Gun and ammo supplied for the turkey shoot with no experience required. Sponsorships are still available for the event at levels of $500, $250 and $100.

All proceeds from the event go to the Hernando County Crime Stoppers Inc. program, which is designed to bring law enforcement, news media and local citizens together to combat crime and make our community a safer place to live.
Hernando County Crime Stoppers Inc. is a nonprofit community program and only receives funding for their programs from contributions of individuals and businesses in our community and grant money.
