Labor Day weekend provided a boon of drunken drivers and authorities were there to catch them. All told, the Florida Highway Patrol, Hernando County Sheriff's Office and Brooksville Police Department reported 10 arrests. Here's a brief rundown on who was arrested on suspicion of DUI; reports were not available on all the arrests.

Troy Cartwright, 43, of 8500 E. Keating Park St., Floral City.

Brooksville police say they were alerted to a reckless driver at 10:40 p.m. on Friday and an officer came across the suspect's white SUV at North Broad Street and East Jefferson Street. A witness said Cartwright passed him in a no passing zone on U.S. 41 and nearly struck several other vehicles head-on.

Cartwright reportedly blew a .143 and .145 blood alcohol level (BAC).

George Thompson, 44, of 11009 Thornberry Drive, Spring Hill.

A deputy said he pulled over Thompson at 12:49 a.m. on Friday at Cortez and Coastal boulevards for running a red light. A traffic deputy was requested to conduct field sobriety tests, which Thompson failed, according to a report.

Thompson reportedly blew a .160 and .156 BAC.

Lauren Weaver, 25, of 6063 Schlinger Ave., Spring Hill.

A maroon Mitsubishi Lancer westbound on Spring Hill Drive is pulled over at 11:34 p.m. on Friday for traveling 50 mph in a 40 mph zone. The vehicle's reported driver, Lauren Weaver, showed signs of impairment and gave a blood alcohol level of .072 and .069.

Rafael Luciano, 35, of 16128 Naples St., Brooksville.

A traffic deputy pulled over Luciano at 12:07 a.m. on Sunday after the suspect reportedly began weaving across the lanes of Commercial Way after a left turn from Applegate Drive.

Luciano lost his balance coming out of the car and paused during the field sobriety tests to tell a deputy he had too much to drink, a report states.

Luciano reportedly blew a .182 and .197 BAC.

Thomas Reith, 20, of 2233 Longview Circle, Brooksville.

Deputies pulled over Reith at 1:47 a.m. on Sunday after he was reportedly weaving across the Cortez Boulevard, near the intersection of U.S. 41. Reith told the deputy he had drunk about six beers while playing beer pong, a report states.

Reith reportedly blew a .114 and .111 BAC.

Jason Samulski, 31, of 9628 Southern Charm Circle, Brooksville.

An illegal U-turn was the reason behind a traffic stop at 2:57 a.m. on Monday on Spring Hill Drive, near the intersection of Mariner Boulevard. When told he was suspected of drunken driving, the reported driver, Jason Samulski, demanded an immediate breath test.

A portable breathalyzer returned a result of .084 BAC; a test at the jail gave a result of .071 and .071, a report states.
