Edmund Swan, 83, of Spring Hill, died Wednesday, Oct. 22, at Spring Hill Regional Hospital.
Mr. Swan was a retired police officer with 30 years of service and was a U.S. Marines veteran.
Survivors include a son, Charles L. Swan of Long Island, N.Y.; three daughters, Victoria Bosso of West Palm Beach, Deborah E. Swan of Leominster, Mass., and Kim Swan of Spring Hill; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Thomas F. Whalen, 89, of Spring Hill, died Wednesday, Oct. 22, at his home. He was born in Hartford, Conn.
Mr. Whalen was a retired Hartford fireman and retired from the State of Connecticut Highway Department. He had been a fire commissioner in Cromwell, Conn., for many years and attended Weaver High where he was district champion runner.
Survivors include his companion, Lu Hale; two daughters, Beverly and Sharon Whalen; a brother, David Whalen; and many nieces and nephews.

Rita A. Quinlan, 84, of Spring Hill, died Wednesday, Oct. 22, at Hernando-Pasco Hospice House, Cortez Boulevard, Brooksville. She was born in New York, N.Y.
Mrs. Quinlan was a receptionist for Karey Kasco.
Survivors include her husband, Frank; two stepsons, Robert and Richard; a stepdaughter, Kathleen Zetterberg; a daughter, Barbara Gai; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Pasquale Giampietro, 51, of Spring Hill, died Tuesday, Oct. 21, at Oak Hill Hospital. He was born in Dearborn, Mich., and moved to this area four years ago from Edgewater.
Mr. Giampietro was the owner/operator of Pat's Barber and Styling, Edgewater, and continued as a barber on U.S. 19 in Hudson. He was the founder of Safety Concepts for Volusia County and a former SWAT team instructor for Daytona Beach Shores Police Department. He was Grandmaster of his own style of Tsung Chen Do and a member of the Black Belt Hall of Fame. He was a Florida representative for International Modern Arnis Association and World Combat Arts Federation, instructor in Countermeasures by the Justice Training System Association and advanced instructor with the International Police Tactical Training Academy. He was a Baptist by faith.
Survivors include his wife, Yadira; and a daughter, Samantha.

Rudolph Lindner, 86, of Spring Hill, died Wednesday, Oct. 22, at his home. He was born in Germany and moved to Florida 15 years ago from Cleveland, Ohio.
Mr. Lindner was an electrician and a Lutheran by faith.
Survivors include his wife, Elfriede; a son, Norman C. Lindner of Lake Wylie, S.C.; a daughter, Judy Ruth Minister of Columbus, Ohio; a sister, Irmgard Barsch of Germany; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
