Obamahood: Take From
Rich, Give To Poor
Welfare, corruption, deceit and fraud: The presidential election of 2008!
Sen. Barack Obama's tax cut to 95 percent of the population is the biggest welfare handout of our times. About 40 percent of potential recipients don't pay taxes at all, and Obama wants to give them an earned income tax credit check. In other words people who don't pay any taxes will get money. Who pays for that? Those of us who do pay taxes!
Go figure!
Yes, he admits that the rich will now give to the poor via Obamahood, the new Robin Hood! Where has the American dream gone, gone to the fact that there will now be a cap on what you can earn and anything beyond that will go to the masses who don't work?
Corruption and fraud in registering voters make us no better than Third World countries that appall us with their voting practices. Why are so many trying so hard to cheat? A new way of life in America? Maybe so! It must be easier than working hard to earn a living, to work with organizations to fraudulently register voters to get your candidate in office so you can enjoy the free ride he is promising!
My fellow Americans, please make sure you know what you are voting for. After the hype is gone and history is written, a vote for Obama will be a vote for the greatest opportunity to go into an economic depression.
If you like the current economic conditions, you will have four more years of that and worse.
A vote for Obama with take the money from those who can create jobs and can offer heath care to their employees and spread it around to those who can't!
A vote for Obama will be a vote for our country to fail in the economic trade markets because he would rather chat with leaders of country set on destroying America and what we stand for than to work with the free trade agreements around the world to strengthen our county.
I can go on and on; a vote for Obama is not right at this time in history, only because at this time in history we need a steady hand on the tiller and one we know. Obama is an unknown.
It is time to draw a line in the sand and stand for something! Stand with me Joe six-pack, hockey moms and Joe the plumber. Stand up for your country and the future of your children. That is what this is all about! Vote for Sen. John McCain and Gov. Sarah Palin!

Left Trashes Joe
It amazes me how flagrantly the leftist media and Sen. Barack Obama supporters can throw their venom around. Now "Joe the Plumber" is someone who has to be trashed in order for their favorite candidate, Obama, to win the presidency. One would think that Joe is running for president against Obama, instead of Sen. John McCain.
If anyone doesn't know by now how low the left will go to win, they never will. Their attacks on Joe should be enough for everyone to vote for McCain. If Obama should win the presidency, no one in our country will be safe to challenge his positions or voice their opinions without being investigated and slimmed. Wasn't that what happen in Nazi Germany?

Crisis Just Beginning
Evidently, our Constitution doesn't mean anything. According to this document, to run for the highest office of this nation, the candidates must be naturalized citizens.
Sen. Barack Obama isn't and was born in Kenya, and he refuses to show his birth certificate. He should be disqualified, but the Congress and Supreme Court don't do anything.
President Bush should be impeached for lying to the people and sending our troops into Iraq getting slaughtered. And his whole Cabinet along with him. Let's face it, our beloved Constitution is being avoided and that's why our nation is in trouble and the middle- and lower-income classes will be taxed more.
This is just the beginning of this crisis. I believe a depression is just around the corner; and the economy won't get better, only worse. Only God can heal our land if our nation repents and turns back to Him.

Down In The Dirt
I am writing this letter to express my disgust and utter contempt for many of the political commentators and so called comedians on television.
I hope that no matter what political view you hold, you will agree that the mean-spirited, caustic, vitriolic, demeaning, disrespectful and down right unpatriotic garbage they spew is a big reason the political scene in this country is so contentious. No wonder other countries look at us with such disdain; we can't even respect each other.
Maybe the editor of the Hernando Today can shed some light on this, but weren't we taught in "Journalism 101" that the media were just supposed to reports the facts, and unless it was an editorial piece, not to put your own spin on it? Why can't the media just give us the facts of the story and let us come to our own conclusions? The American public is smart enough to read or listen to a story and make up our own minds, thank you!
What happened to the concept of fairness, too?
Who believes the media today is fair in its reporting? If a right-wing politician or candidate does or says something wrong, it's all over the press, television and radio. But if it's a left-wing politician or candidate, try and find it in the newspaper or television.
And, whatever happened to respect for the office?
Just turn on the news and listen to the likes of Chris Matthews, Tom Brokaw, Katie Couric, Rachael Maddow and Keith Olbermann ridicule President Bush, people in his administration and other officials in the Republican Party. Recently on MSNBC, I heard Paul Begala call President Bush a "functioning moron." What is going on in our country when someone can say something like that? Feel free to disagree with someone in office; that's what makes this country so great. But when did it descend to the level we see now?
Just state your view on the matter or cite your reasons for your disagreement in an intelligent manner. We don't need the insulting comments. You will make your point more effectively that way, I believe.
Then we come to the late night comedians. They may be called comedians, but I don't know why. I don't find them funny at all. I guess that's why they are on so late at night. Where do they come off ridiculing and second-guessing the president on the hard decisions he has to make on a daily basis? Especially when the biggest decisions these people have to make is what size latte they want for their drive to the studio and what jokes (that someone else has written for them) they'll use on their show that night!
I'm sure the pundits and comedians who ridicule and demean the most have never served this country. I'm sure the likes of Jon Stewart, Steven Colbert, Chris Matthews and especially Keith Olbermann have never had to make tough, split-second decisions that affect millions, like President Bush, or have been in a dire situation like Sen. John McCain faced in North Vietnam. If they had, maybe they wouldn't be so quick with the disrespectful jokes and comments.
So, I say to you pundits and comedians: Don't be so quick to second guess others. The only decisions I see you guys fit to make are what size box of Pampers you would need if you had to make the kinds of decisions President Bush has to make and faced the kind of situation Sen. McCain found himself in.
