Joyce E. Quattro, 82, of Spring Hill, died Sunday, Oct. 12, at her home. She was born in Detroit, Mich., and moved to this area 22 years ago from Grosse Ile, Mich.
Mrs. Quattro was a retired medical technician, volunteered teaching adults and children in a literacy program, a Guardian Ad Litem volunteer and Child Advocate for Hernando County. She served as board of director, secretary and assistant secretary/treasurer for the Hernando Beach Yacht Club and was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband, Henry; two sons, Terry Quattro of Lake Orion, Mich., and Forrest Quattro of Clinton Township, Mich.; two daughters, Cheryl Remsnyder of Tucson, Ariz., and Candice Becker of Rockwood, Mich.; a brother, Noel Yauch of Brooklyn, New York; a sister, Gail Yauch of Chicago, Ill.; 14 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Mary Ann Reid, 81, of Spring Hill, died Thursday, Oct. 9. She was born in Brechin Angus, Scotland, and moved to Florida 20 years ago from Lynn, Mass.
Survivors include her husband, Donald; and a sister, Nan Berg of Cape Cod.

Rosa L. Lorenzana, 84, of Brooksville, died Sunday, Oct. 12, at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Unit, Chatman Boulevard, Brooksville.
Mrs. Lorenzana was born in Ciales, Puerto Rico, and moved to this area five years ago from Toa Alta, Puerto Rico.
Survivors include a son, Conrado Pacheco of Brooksville; a daughter, Rosa A Pacheco of Toa Alta; three brothers; three sisters; five grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Janet M. Jacobs, 68, of Weeki Wachee, died Monday, Oct. 13, at her home. She was born in West Thornton, N.H., and moved to this area 16 years ago from Montpelier, Vt.
Mrs. Jacobs was a retired administrator for the Barre Public School System, consulting teacher in special education and elementary school curriculum director for the city of Barre, Vt., and a member of the Glen Lakes Garden Club, Glen Lakes Book Club, Red Hat Society and First United Methodist Church, Spring Hill.
Survivors include her husband, Edwin; a son, Roland H. Jacobs of Kenilworth, Ill.; a daughter, Susan Jacobs O'Connell of Amherst, N.H.; a brother, Leon Brown of Wakefield, Mass.; a sister, Annette Monet of Hanson, Mass.; and five grandchildren.

Mamie L. Smith, 93, of Brooksville, died Sunday, Oct. 12, at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Unit, Chatman Boulevard, Brooksville. She was born in Dade City and moved to this area 39 years ago from Tampa.
Mrs. Smith was a member of the Bread of Life Pentecostal Church of God, Brooksville.
Survivors include her husband, Wilbur; two sons, Richard Miller and Gary Smith, both of Brooksville; three daughters, Marion Brownlow of Hoschdon, Ga., Linda French of Spokane, Wash., and Nancy Stafne of Gainsville, Mo.; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

James F. Duncan, 68, of Brooksville, died Saturday, Oct. 11, at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Unit, Chatman Boulevard, Brooksville. He was born in Lewistown, Pa., and moved to this area two years ago from Akron, Ohio.
Mr. Duncan was a design engineer for Parker Hannafin Corp.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra; his stepmother, Dorothy Stenchever; three sons, Kenneth, James and Robert; a brother, Joseph E. Duncan; a stepbrother, Larry Kearns; a sister, Jean Duncan; and six grandchildren.

Pearl T. Baranoski, 67, of Spring Hill, died Saturday, Oct. 11, at Tangerine Cove, Brooksville. She was born in Dickson City, Pa., and moved to this area four years ago from New Jersey.
Ms. Baranoski was a secretary for Delta Airlines.
Survivors include two brothers, Frank of Florida and Allen of Virginia; and a sister, Gloria Harmon of Texas.

Juanita K. Chandler, 84, of Spring Hill, died Sunday, Oct. 12, at Spring Hill Regional Hospital. She was born in Newport, Wash., and moved to Florida 29 years ago from Oxon Hill, Md.
Mrs. Chandler was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church, Spring Hill.
Survivors include her husband, Walter R. Sr.; a son, Walter R. Chandler Jr. of Spring Hill; a daughter, Kay Chandler Mullahey of New Port Richey; a brother, William McIntosh of Spokane, Wash.; two sisters, Louise Slusser and Shirley Ownbey, both of Newport; and five grandchildren.

Larry F. Sowle, 71, of Brooksville, died Monday, Oct. 13, at Brooksville Regional Hospital. He moved to this area 15 years ago from Bath, Mich.
Mr. Sowle was an automotive line worker, a U.S. Air Force veteran and a Protestant by faith.
Survivors include his wife, Ella; a son, Billy Roebuck of Lutz; a daughter, Jewel Bubert of Hamilton, Texas; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Gustave J. Szinkewicz, 89, of Spring Hill, died Monday, Oct. 13, in Bayonet Point. He was born in Milwaukee, Wis., and moved to this area 16 years ago from Wilmington, N.C.
Mr. Szinkewicz retired as a product equipment designer for General Motors. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran and a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Spring Hill.
Survivors include his wife, Audrey; and two daughters, Kathleen Mennicke of Chadds Ford, Pa., and Diane Bowlin of Oklahoma City, Okla.
