Helen Riedel, 88, of Brooksville, died Monday, Oct. 6, at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Unit, Chatman Boulevard, Brooksville. She was born in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., and moved to this area 30 years ago from Philadelphia, Pa.
Mrs. Riedel was a retired receptionist for an import/export company.
Survivors include her son, Martin Kranson of Kingston, Pa.; three brothers, Oscar Weisberger, Daniel Weisberger and Sidney Weisberger, all of Brooklyn, N.Y.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Elaine A. Stead, 74, of Weeki Wachee, died Monday, Oct. 6, at Kindred Hospital, Tampa. She was born in East Detroit, Mich., and moved to this area five years ago from Eastpointe, Mich.
Mrs. Stead was a retired merchandiser/vendor for American Greeting Company.
Survivors include her daughter, Deborah Knoll of Weeki Wachee; a brother, Chuck Zienert of Warren, Mich.; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Gloria Faye Stanley, 73, of McAlpin, formerly of Brooksville, died Tuesday, Oct. 7, at Suwannee Valley Care Center, Lake City. She moved to McAlpin nine years ago from her native Brooksville.
Mrs. Stanley was a member of Community Baptist Church, Brooksville, and recently attended Philadelphia Baptist Church, Luraville.
Survivors include two sons, Jimmy Huntsman of Lake City and Donnie Huntsman of Knobnaster, Mo.; four daughters, Melanie Parrish of Terra Ceia, Dorie Flint of Bedford, Va., Susie Cothron of Ocala and Candy Stanley of McAlpin; a sister, Hilda Bolomy of Bellview; 17 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Genevieve Grace Perry, 5 months, died Monday, Oct. 6, at Spring Hill Regional Hospital.
Survivors include her father, Troy Gordon Walker; her mother, Tammy Marie Perry of Brooksville; maternal grandparents, Beverly and Abe Hamm of Spring Hill; paternal grandparents, Janice and Gordon Walker of Brooksville; and two sisters, Angel and Faith Chiarizio.

John R. "Bob" Ferris Jr., 84, of Brooksville, died Tuesday, Oct. 7, at Baldomero-Lopez State Veterans Nursing Home, Land O' Lakes. He was born in Chicago, Ill., and moved to this area 33 years ago from Miami.
Mr. Ferris was a retired general contractor, World War II U.S. Army veteran and a Christian by faith.
Survivors include a son, Thomas Ferris of Brooksville; a daughter, Sandra Shive of Pennsylvania; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Master Sergeant (Retired) Duane Frasier "Rocky" Mountain, 61, of Fort Walton Beach, formerly of Brooksville, died Wednesday, Oct. 1, at Fort Walton Medical Center. He was born in Syracuse, N.Y.
Mr. Mountain retired from the U.S. Air Force, having received numerous commendations, medals and plaques. He was a 1965 graduate of Hernando High School, Brooksville. He was a partner in ADIS Wireless Communications, Fort Walton Beach, and worked at Artistic Stone Works, Fort Walton Beach. He was a member of the Fort Walton Beach Chapter of Kiwanis and numerous Air Force groups of active and retired members at Eglin Air Force Base and Hurlburt Air Force Base.
Survivors include his parents, Frasier and Nancy Mountain of Brooksville; a sister, Diane Mountain Dannemiller of Brooksville; and a niece.

Kenneth R. Kessler, 91, of Spring Hill, FL, died Monday, Oct. 6, at Oak Hill Hospital. He was born in Munising, Mich., and moved to this area six years ago from North Webster, Ind.
Mr. Kessler retired from the University of Michigan Medical Center Purchasing Department, Ann Arbor, Mich. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran, a member of the Genesee County Mason Lodge, Flint, Mich., and First United Methodist Church, Spring Hill, and a life member of the American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, Lois A.; a daughter, Patricia A. Dupke of Spring Hill; a son, David R. Kessler of North Webster, Ind.; a grandson; a granddaughter; and four great-grandchildren.
