BROOKSVILLE - The Hernando County Planning Department is conducting a logo contest for the county's Environmentally Sensitive Lands (ESL) program and has extended the deadline for submitting entries to Nov. 1.
The ESL program acquires land for the purpose of preservation for recreational enjoyment by Hernando County residents and visitors. Initially the logo will be used on signs identifying Hernando County's ESL preserves and on documents and brochures.
Entry forms and additional information about the logo contest, including contest rules, may be obtained from the Hernando County Planning Department or its Web page at: www.hernandocounty.us/plan/ESL/ or contact Dawn Velsor, lead environmental planner, at 754-4057.
