Donna Woosley, another angel, was quite busy this Thanksgiving baking homemade goodies for our guys and gals overseas. She was assisted by her hubby David, who works in construction. They try to send four to six packages a month to our troops. They plan on doing this until the troops come home safe and soon. She would appreciate any help with things like guy magazines such as "Sportsman's Guide," motorcycles, anything "guy-ish," and of course, anything for our gals such as "Woman's Day," "Cosmopolitan," etc. They also need greeting cards they can send back home - birthday, get well, thinking of you, anniversary, etc. Donna hears from some of them, especially often from Capt. R. Mistry who was with the U.S. Marines stationed in Iraq. He sent to her and her husband a certificate and a U.S. flag that was flown over Camp Fallujah on the 4th of July. If you can or feel the need to help these folks send something to the troops, call Donna at 352-584-9761.

On November, Mike and Dee Blaha gave Dee's sister Sandy Lane-Birukow a surprise for her 50th birthday in Columbus, Ohio. Dee also got to visit with her brother Aaron Lane and cousin James Birukow, his new wife Lena from Russia and 3-year-old granddaughter Dasha. This four-day surprise visit was a blast for everyone, except now Dee remembers why she now resides here in Florida. Dee's mom Jean Lane and Ms. Laurie kept watch over the farm and homestead.
Carolyn Blaha enjoyed the Thanksgiving holiday with her sister Elneta and her hubby Bill Spell in Leesburg. They had dinner at The Mission Innin Howie-in-the-Hills, near Mt. Dora.
