BROOKSVILLE - It's going to be a frigid holiday morning in Hernando County, forecasters say.
Temperatures are expected to drop below freezing for as many as five hours Thanksgiving morning, according to the National Weather Service. A cold front and calm winds will bring lows in the mid-20s in Brooksville.
Residents should bring in pets and protect sensitive plants, officials said.
The mercury will rebound nicely, though, with a forecast high of 70 degrees and sunny skies.
