David W. Downie, 86, of Brooksville, died Wednesday, Nov. 19, at Oak Hill Hospital. He moved to this area 28 years ago from his native Springfield, Mass.
Mr. Downie was a retired telephone switchboard installer, U.S. Coast Guard veteran, and a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, Order of Scottish Clan Bruce, and Mariner United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth; two daughters, Diane Downie of Spring Hill and Allison Carroll of Agawam, Mass.; a stepdaughter, Susan LaFleur of Springfield; and a granddaughter.
Arrangements by Pinecrest Funeral Chapels, Cortez Boulevard Chapel, Brooksville.
Helen Baker, 85, of West Palm Beach, formerly of Spring Hill, died Thursday, Nov. 13, at Hospice of West Palm Beach. She was born in Carbondale, Pa., and moved to Florida 30 years ago from Oak Ridge, N.J.
Ms. Baker was a Protestant by faith.
She is survived by her sister, Barbara.

Robert "Bob" Dorn Sr., 87, of Brooksville, died Thursday, Nov. 20, at Brooksville Healthcare Center. He was born in Canton, Ohio, and moved to this area 20 years ago.
Mr. Dorn retired from the Timken Company, Canton, Ohio, and was a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers, American Society for Quality Control, 32nd Degree Mason Blue Lodge, Brooksville Golf & Country Club, and First Baptist Church of Brooksville.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia; a sister, Phyllis Dorn; a brother, William Dorn; two sons, Ronald and Robert Dorn; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
