Thanks

Please allow me to use this medium to thank the many, many people who have made these past 16 years rewarding and memorable for me and my family. It has been an honor and a privilege to represent the citizens of Hernando County through four terms on the Hernando County School Board.

In particular, I wish to thank the 3,000-plus employees of the school system for their dedication and professionalism. It sure made my job a lot easier. You are the unsung heroes of our county.

Thanks also to the more than a dozen men and women with whom I have served on the board over the years. I will always be grateful for your friendship and encouragement.

To the many education reporters with whom I have worked, you have my utmost respect. You have collectively done an amazing job.

I wish to applaud the parents of our students and the members of our community for your support of our district. Without you, we would have achieved little; today, we are an "A" district.

And most importantly, to our students: Some of you started kindergarten when I was first elected to the school board and today are seniors in college or serving in the military or holding down jobs. You inspire all of us to be ever mindful of our mission. You made it all worthwhile. Thanks.

Unions Need To Wake Up

As a retired Ford salary employee, I agree the unions should wake up and cut back on some of their benefits.

Ford has eliminated bonuses, merit raises, and Blue Cross Blue Shield benefits on salaried employees. The company mortgaged all of its office and production facilities to gain some capital.

What is sad is we won the war with the Japanese and they lost face, and now would like nothing better than to outsell American companies.

They build plants in the U.S., hiring young people so they will not pay out retirement for 30 years, plus they could just pull up stakes when these employees reach retirement and they start taking pension and medical benefits.

They did this before:

In 1927, Japan had a terrible earthquake and they asked Henry Ford to send trucks to help clear the rubble and so on, and then asked Ford to build plants in Japan as their total auto Japanese output was 3,000 units a year.

Then in 1939, when Ford was the largest auto manufacturer in Japan, they invaded China and killed 250,000 Chinese in Nanking - that's 250,000 men, women and children. They told Ford to get out, "We are taking over your factories."

God's Law Of Economics

We are living in a debit economy, where we spend assets we have, not borrowing. Immense usury charges on created credit are the sole cause of inflation. Usury is the Biblical word for interest.

All prices on all industry, trade and labor must raise costs that increase the cost to consumers. Under the constitutional system, no private banks would exist to rob the people. This would issue and control actual currency but could lend limited credit at no interest for the capital goods such as homes. The big money lenders spend millions in propaganda to the American taxpayers from realizing this.

History tells us of debt-free and interest-free money issued by the government, money that doesn't have to be paid back in interest leaves the money available to use in exchange of goods and services. With adequate supply of interest-free money, little borrowing would be required; and prices would be established by people and goods, not debts and usury. We vitally need God's law to become the law of the land, and this certainly includes His laws of economics.

Debt should not be the instrument of our bondage; the Word of God is very clear about this. Debt/usury literally destroys a nation and is the No. 1 cause of divorce, is the creator of all wars (financing both sides of war under different banking titles) and causes untold burdens, especially legal burdens and increases the size and power of government over the people. If we follow God's laws and turn to Him and repent, He promises that He will heal our land and protect us from our enemies. God hates usury, making it a sin.

The Bible says that our leaders need to call or declare a national jubilee, cancel our national debt and tell the bankers to go and find an honest job.
