Authorities Searching For Home Invasion Suspects

BROOKSVILLE - Authorities are searching for three men who broke into a home Tuesday morning in the 8100 block of Nightwalker Road.

A woman returned home around 7:30 a.m. to find a man standing in her garage. As she dialed 911, two other men ran out of the house and hopped into a van that fled northbound on Nightwalker, according to the sheriff's office.

The victim's 13-year-old son was in the house at the time, but was able to escape unharmed.
Investigators describe the suspects as black men, possibly Haitian. One had dreadlocks and was wearing a black shirt and jean shorts; the second suspect had a shaved head and was wearing a green hooded pullover and jeans; the third suspect also had a shaved head and was wearing jean shorts. All appeared to be between the age of 20 and 25. Two of the suspects were armed with a handgun.

The van is described as a white Ford cargo van with a Florida tag.
