David Louis "Dave" Shelton, 63, of Largo, formerly of Brooksville, died Monday, Nov. 3, at home. He was born in Newton, N.J., and had moved to Brooksville nine years ago from Pine Bush, N.Y.
Mr. Shelton worked many years at the New Jersey Herald. He was first on scene for Karen Quinlan's saga and was known for his Playboy Bunny "sextortion" stories. His "Bigfoot" story is still being viewed 30 years later on the "Bigfoot" Web sites. He also worked many years in public relations in New York City and was an award-winning journalist for Hernando Today/The Tampa Tribune. He was most recently a journalist for the Largo Leader and Belleair Bee.
Survivors include his wife, Sue; a daughter, Heather Norcia of Palm Harbor; a son, Chad Shelton of Shell Lake, Wis.; three brothers, Gordon and Wesley, both of Branchville, N.J., and Roger of Laconia, N.H.; and four grandsons.

Juan Valentin, 86, of Weeki Wachee, died Sunday, Nov. 9, at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Unit, Chatman Boulevard, Brooksville. He was born in Anasco, Puerto Rico, and moved to this area two years ago from Bronx, N.Y.
Mr. Valentin retired as an institutional aide for the City of New York Department of Juvenile Justice and was a Christian by faith.
Survivors include a son, Carlos Valentin of Bronx; two daughters, Angeli Feliciano of Bronx and Carmen Martinez of Weeki Wachee; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Neal Kenneth Kramer, 79, of Brooksville, died Saturday, Nov. 8, at Tampa General Hospital. He was born in Prairie Du Chien, Wis., and moved to this area 15 years ago from Potosi, Wis.
Mr. Kramer was a signal maintainer for the railroad and a Catholic by faith.
Survivors include a son, Rick Kramer of Hayward, Wis.; three daughters, Cynthia Leibfried of Hazel Green, Wis., Debra Droessler of Potosi, and Lori Stewart of Dubuque, Iowa; 12 grandchildren; 12 stepgrandchildren; six great-grandchildren; 12 stepgreat-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.

Mary L. Buckner, 77, of Brooksville, died Saturday, Nov. 8. She was born in Pawnee, Okla., and moved to Florida nine years ago from West Virginia.
Mrs. Buckner was an assembler in the aircraft industry and a Jehovah Witness by faith.
She is survived by her husband, Luther A.

Alessandra Augello, 17, of Spring Hill, died Monday, Nov. 10. She was born in Rockville Center, N.Y., and moved to this area 14 years ago from Rosedale, N.Y.
Alessandra was a senior at Bishop McLaughlin High School, a member of the school softball team, editor of the school newspaper, was selected for the part of Micky, the cop, in the school play production of "The Odd Couple" and was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church.
Survivors include her parents, Stephen and Agnes Augello; a brother, Stephen Augello Jr. of Spring Hill; and paternal grandmother, Josephine Augello of New York.

Ralph W. Weaver, 78, of Brooksville, died Monday, Nov. 10, in Brooksville. He was born in Steeleville, Ill., and moved to this area 37 years ago from Illinois.
Mr. Weaver owned a tire business and was a Korean War U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Letitia; a daughter, Jennifer Laursen of New Port Richey; a son, Glenn Weaver of Seminole; a sister, Dorothy Miedendorf of Steeleville; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Paul Dean DuBois Sr., 70, of Brooksville, died Monday, Nov. 10, at his home. He was born in Oxford, N.Y., and moved to this area 24 years ago from New York.
Mr. DuBois was a Catholic by faith.
Survivors include four sons, Dennis DuBois of Brooksville, Paul D. DuBois Jr. of Murphy, N.C., Jerome E. DuBois of Spring Hill and Terry Lee DuBois of Lincklaen, N.Y.; a daughter, Brenda Lee DuBois of Camden, N.Y.; two brothers, Dick DuBois of Oxford and Donald DuBois of North Pitcher, N.Y.; a sister, Patricia DuBois of Cortland, N.Y.; 15 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
