Kingsley Will Return

When I read today's letter on "Chris Kingsley Cared" by Cynthia Hall, I have to agree with her. It does not matter if you were a Democrat, Republican or other, Kingsley is and always will be a caring and compassionate individual. Yes, he has always used common sense and plain talk in his position as county commissioner. Kingsley has always responded to any question or problem that I had with the county when he has sat on that board.

I've had a few problems with the county over the years and, while he was sitting on that board, he never failed to give a reasonable answer to my problem, which not only affected me but everybody, whether it was in Spring Hill or the rest of the county.

I would like to say to Blaise Ingoglia and the rest of the residents who voted Kingsley out of office, we will see what the next four years will be like. In two years, you have a chance to vote the other two out, too. Then we will truly see if things will change. If not, you have a chance to vote again, like you did before, to bring Kingsley back. You will have a chance to bring a person back who was caring, compassionate and truly dedicated to all the residents of this county.

I am a consumer with an empty house recently purchased for cash that is badly in need of furniture. However, I cannot buy that furniture until my wife arrives from Taiwan.

The USCIS approved her petition on Aug. 26, but the National Visa Center has not received notice from USCIS after more than two months. The NVC reports it often takes three months. Three months to move some papers, people. Want to guess how long it will take to improve the economy?

Re: "Fear And Smear" letter to the editor in the Nov. 9 edition of Hernando Today.

Where was R. L. Putman the last eight years while George Bush was the recipient of the fear and smear tactics? It was quite acceptable when Democrats attacked Bush, labeling him with a variable ugly selection of slanderous characterizations while he was in office. But oh, excuse me ... only Democrats have the privilege to criticize and say negative things about the President of America, unless it just happens to be a Democratic president.

I've been a reader of Hernando Today for seven years, and I know for a fact that this paper is fair and balanced in printing Democratic views as well as Republican. Liberal columnists Frances Earl and Ted Rall are just two examples who regularly write editorials in this paper. Believe me, they did not spare any mercy spewing their hateful rhetoric against the Bush administration, Sen. John McCain and Gov. Sara Palin.

Putman and Democrats will have to get used to the Obama criticisms for the next four years in which conservatives had to tolerate it for eight years.
