Police Haul In $13,650 Worth Of Drugs

BROOKSVILLE - Police say they seized four ounces of methamphetamine Thursday during one of two arrests near Laurenwood Mobile Home Park.

Police went to the park at 712 W. Jefferson St. around 6:15 p.m. to investigate a suspicious vehicle.

A computer check revealed that the black 2001 Honda Civic was reported stolen out of Pasco County, so deputies arrested the man in the car, Michael A. Mavrakis, 27, a report shows.

A search of the car returned 135.7 grams of methamphetamine, worth $11,000 on the street, according to a report.

Mavrakis, of 9157 Carter St., was charged with grand theft auto and trafficking in methamphetamine.

Later Thursday, around 9 p.m., officers were on their way to investigate another suspicious vehicle when they saw their target pulling out of the mobile home park.

The car was pulled over at the neighboring BP station, but its driver bailed out of the car and ran, a report states.

Police chased the suspect, Kenneth Robinson, 37, and used a stun gun on him before he was arrested, a report shows.

A search of Robinson's pockets reportedly turned up two prescription pill bottles.

One held 95 oxycodone pills and the other 150 methadone pills.

Police priced the drugs' street value at $2,650.

Robinson, of 27116 Wakefield Drive, was charged with driving on a suspended license, resisting arrest without violence, possession of a drug without prescription and violation of probation.

30 Grams Of Meth Seized

RIDGE MANOR - Undercover deputies recovered 30.2 grams of methamphetamine while serving a search warrant Friday morning at 6048 Idle-a-while Circle, an affidavit shows.

Arrested on charges of trafficking in methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia were residents Jerry Gore, 29, and Constance Moore, 43.
