Dr. Ronald C. Beckman, 73, of Weeki Wachee, died Wednesday, Oct. 29, in Brooksville. He was born in Burlington, Iowa, and moved to this area five years ago from Statesboro, Ga.
Dr. Beckman was a veterinarian, having received a certificate from the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture Animal Research Division upon graduation from Iowa State College. He was president of Iowa Veterinary Medical Association, retired from the U.S. Government after 13 years of service, was a lifetime member of the National Association of Federal Veterinarians and was selected to appear as one of the Outstanding Young Men of America in 1970. He was a member of Northcliffe Baptist Church, Spring Hill.
Survivors include his wife, Mona; a son, William Beckman of Fort Lauderdale; a daughter, Nancy Beckman of Fort Lauderdale; a stepson, Gian Ganziano of Los Angeles, Calif.; three sisters, Mary Fatzinger of Las Vegas, Nev., Betty Hufford of Arkansas and Karon Warner of Pryor, Okla.; two grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Joy L. Brigham, 97, of Spring Hill, died Wednesday, Oct. 29, at Brooksville Regional Hospital. She was born in Cedar Springs, Mich., and moved to this area two years ago from Port Charlotte.
Mrs. Brigham was a retired schoolteacher for Comstock Public School System, Grand Rapids, Mich., and a member of DAR of Port Charlotte, First Nelson United Methodist Church, E. Nelson, Mich., and Spring Hill United Methodist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Charles A. Brigham of Pocatello, Idaho, Malcolm C. Brigham of Sand Lake, Mich., and Darrell D. Brigham of Ionia, Mich.; two daughters, Sharon Steinacker of Vicksburg, Mich., and Bonnie Root of Spring Hill; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

V. Faye Gifford, 87, of Spring Hill, died Thursday, Oct. 30, at Oak Hill Hospital. She was born in Elnora, Ind., and moved to Florida 27 years ago from Bellville, Mich.
Mrs. Gifford was a homemaker and a member of Northcliffe Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Ronald Gifford of Spring Hill; a daughter, Kathleen Gifford of Springfield, Ohio; three grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Maria Nieves Santos-Orellana, 90, of Honduras, Central America, died Friday, Oct. 31, in Brooksville. She was born in Central America and was visiting this area from Honduras.
Mrs. Santos-Orellana was a homemaker.
Survivors include four sons; four daughters; four brothers; four sisters; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
