Nazdar,
Memorial Day is officially on May 30, and it will be observed on Monday, May 26, at the Masaryktown Cemetery. Chris Kovacs, this year's program director, said services will start at 9 a.m. Bring your own chairs and refreshments to follow at the Community Hall on Lincoln Avenue. In case of rain, the services will be held at the hall. Honor the dead by helping the living. From Camper's Holiday have mailed out in May 29 packages to our servicemen and women. They would like to thank Brooksville's Habitat for Humanity for their donation of paperback books, thanks also to Your Hair Fashions for the items they collected for our troops overseas and thanks again to Dee Mills and Lea's Prayers and Postage Inc. Also thanks to Donna Panda and all the folks at Camper's Holiday.

Melissa Salomonsen's mother Janet Albes, 55, died in 2002 in Mesa, Ariz., and her grandmother Julia Daponte, 76, died in 2001 in Fall River, Mass. Both were scattered upon the ocean; and since then, a flower is set out to sea for each one of them. This year, the flowers were set out by Melissa, her husband Lars Salomonsen, their son "Lil' Lars" and their granddaughter Makenzee Aguiar, and great-great-grandmother Karen Ragnaldsen.
The Salomonsens are enjoying a visit from Melissa's great aunt, Emily Albertsen, 89, from North Dartmouth, Mass. If she likes it here, she may stay.
Last Saturday night, May 10, Russell Bourdon and his son Jared went to see their cousin Roger Hatfield graduate from UF in Gainesville. Some 300 students graduated and Hatfield chose a degree in law and is already working with a law firm. Also on hand were Russ's mom (Roger's aunt) Rose Chepon from Orlando and Roger's mom Jane Hatfield. After graduation, all went to Jacksonville to celebrate Rose and Jane's mother, Lillian Chepon's 89{+t}{+h} birthday, at Gene's Seafood Restaurant on the beach, where they met other sister/aunt June Williams and her hubby Bill, and all the children.
