Sheila Hart left the Bingo games before the June 16 game. Her husband, Jack who was the maintenance co-coordinator, and their son, Steven, who took care of maintenance, also left. Thanks to Sheila, Jack and Steven for all their help over these past several years, and good luck to them in all their future endeavors.

On April 15, Joy Weld became a great-grandmother when Brittany Jean Lawson made her debut. Little Brittany was 8 pounds, 5 ounces and is 21 inches long. Proud parents are Billy Ray and Missy Lawson, and 10-year-old big brother Dillon who has taken over possession of saving his clothes, toys, and blankets, etc, for his new baby sister. Congrats to all.

Helen Rudy and her daughter Dee Rudy from Pittsburgh, Pa. joined the group from St. Mary Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church on a seven-day cruise to Alaska. Ports of call were Anchorage, Juno, Ketchikan, and Skagway. From their room they could see the spectacular Glacier College Fjord in Glacier Bay. They enjoyed this trip. On June 25 was hubby John's 93rd birthday, which they celebrated at the Brooksville Health Care Center. Joining the party besides daughter Dee, were his sister Julia, and her hubby Henry Arrett from Bumpass, Va. A surprise cake and ice cream was served to John and all. In March, they were married 65 years. Congratulations, John, may you both be blessed with many more years.

On the same Alaskan trip was Father James Bucaria of St. Mary's. He was joined by another priest, Father Thomas Spillett from St. Petersburg. From Tampa, they flew to Fairbanks, from there they got on an observation train, part of the Premiere Cruise Line to National Park, Denali, to Mount McKinley National Park, which is part of Whittier. On the Princess Cruise Ship, The Shaphire, on the inside down to Vancouver. There, the two priests took a train trip to a two day trip to Winnipeg, Canada. Lots of wonderful memories for both.

Jo Ann and John Grotto have returned from a weeklong vacation in St. Petersburg. They were joined by Jo Ann's friend of 51 years, (they were side-by-side babies) and her hubby Woody from Easton, Pa. This week long vacation was a wedding for Woody and Pina from Jo Ann. Pina was the Maid of Honor at the Grotto's wedding 30 years ago in Statten Island, N.Y., and Jo Ann is Pina's son's godmother. The gals haven't seen each other in 10 years. All had a super week of sun, surf and a starlit dinner cruise.
