BROOKSVILLE - County Administrator David Hamilton and Brooksville Vice Mayor Frankie Burnett plan to walk the streets of South Brooksville Saturday morning to see up close the condition of the neighborhood.
The walk will begin at 9 a.m. at Kennedy Park and anyone interesting in walking is invited to join the two officials there at the site, located at the Lorenzo Hamilton Community Center, 899 Kennedy Blvd.
The event sprang out of a community budget workshop earlier this month where about 25 neighborhood residents came up with ideas for capital improvements for their area. Hamilton said he wanted to see for himself the state of roads, walkways and amenities in South Brooksville.
