BROOKSVILLE - City of Brooksville police have developed a suspect in the murder of Isiah Collins three weeks ago, but an arrest is still forthcoming.
Police Chief George Turner gave no other details on that suspect, adding that the investigation is "going well," but there was "nothing new" to report.
Collins, 29, was found shot multiple times at the intersection of Buena Vista and Roberta avenues at 12:20 a.m. on Memorial Day, May 26. The 911 caller told a dispatcher the victim was bleeding from the head.
Paramedics rushed Collins, who lived on Twigg Street and had family in Dade City, to Brooksville Regional Hospital where he later died.
