Ruth E. Wynot, 93, died Friday, June 6, at her home. She was born in Braintree, Mass., and moved to the area in 2003.
Ms. Wynot was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Red Hat Society.
Survivors include her son, David, of New Orleans; daughters, Phyllis A. Back, of Spring Hill, and Sandra Faucheux, of New Orleans; sisters, Helen Harraden, of East Woodstock, Conn., and Mildred Anderson, of Braintree; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Arrangements by Grace Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home, Hudson.

Frederick Eugene Porter, 73, of Spring Hill, died Friday, June 6, at his home. He was born in Newark, Del., and moved to the area eight years ago.
Mr. Porter served in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years. He retired from a grouting company while in Delaware.
Survivors include his wife, Ethel Lu., of Spring Hill; son, Gene, of Neptune, N.J.; daughters, Kelly J. and Carlyn Prefontaine, both of Spring Hill; sister, Joan Barker, of Wilmington, Del.; and two granddaughters.
Arrangements by Brewer and Sons Funeral Home, U.S. 19 Chapel.

John W. Smith Sr., 77, of Brooksville, died Wednesday, June 4, at Brooksville Regional Hospital. He was born in Brooksville and was a lifelong resident.
Mr. Smith was a retired truck driver. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Survivors include his sons, John Walter Jr. and Tyrone, both of Brooksville, Gregory, of Mid West City, Okla., and Darrell Sr., of Rocky Hill, Conn.; daughters, Merilyn Harris, of Sunrise, and Deneece S. Brown, of Rocky Hill; brothers, Willie D., of Utica, N.Y., Mallie, of Brooksville, and Ernest, of Jacksonville; sisters, Emma Lee Everett, of Brooksville, Juanita Barrow, of Jamaica, N.Y., and Leona Thompson, of Bradenton; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
