BROOKSVILLE - A 70-year-old woman chased her housemate with an aluminum cane, then used her weapon to smash the taillight of a Jeep, deputies say.
When deputies arrived Thursday to break up the fight at 8086 Simmons Road, the 80-year-old victim told them his housemate, Peggy Knopp, went into a rage when he set out for a thrift store.
Knopp, who is probation for aggravated assault in a similar incident, raised her cane over head in an apparent move to strike him, a report states.
The victim dodged the blow and ran for his Jeep to escape, but Knopp smashed the taillight as he attempted to leave.
Knopp was arrested on a charge of assault.
