Michigan Club will meet for dinner and socializing at 4 p.m. today at Inn on the Gulf, 6330 Clark St., Hudson. Any former or current resident of Michigan is invited to join the club. For more information, call Ron at 352-684-3999.

Hernando Beach Club holds an "open house" Friday night dinner at the club located at 3145 Flamingo Blvd., Hernando Beach. Doors open at 5 p.m., and dinner is served at 6:30 p.m. All meals are prepared by members and include dessert at a cost of $8 to $10. Reservations are required by the Wednesday preceding the Friday night dinner of attendance. Also, the club will present "Let Me Entertain You" on Friday, Aug. 1, with Sally & Roy, special appearances by "Cher" and "Marilyn." Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. The cost will be $8 per person for members and $10 per person for guests. The cost will include a steak dinner. Music/Dance
Mixer dance will be held from 8 to 11 p.m. the first and third Friday of every month at the Lake Panasoffkee Community Building located on C.R. 470, one block east of Interstate 75, one-half block north of blinker light across from truck stop. Live music will be featured. The dance will be open to couples and singles, and finger food will be appreciated. The event will be sponsored by Sumter Singles. Community Outreach
American Legion Post 99 and Love Your Neighbor, the group that feeds the homeless and needy, hosts a Third Saturday Flea Market from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the American Legion, 208 East Fort Dade Ave, in downtown Brooksville. Clothing, household items, furniture and toys are featured. Funds raised will benefit Love Your Neighbor's outreach to the less fortunate and American Legion service projects. Military/Veterans
VFW Post 10209 serves breakfast, lunch and dinner as follows: from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Sunday; from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Fridays in the Hall; soup and sandwich special at a cost of $3.99 will be offered from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday; and early bird specials will be offered from 2 to 5 p.m. Fridays at a cost of $5.95.

VFW Post 9236, 3435 Shoal Line Blvd., Hernando Beach, will offer $1 hot dogs Monday through Saturday, with beer special on Mondays; line dancing from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays; spaghetti dinner from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesdays; wear a red shirt and receive discounts on beverages all day on Fridays; steak night on the second Saturday of the month. Brooksville Elks Lodge 2582 holds dinner and dancing every Friday at the Lodge located at 14494 Cortez Blvd. Doors will open at 4 p.m., and dinner will be served from 5 to 6:15 p.m. Dancing will be held from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. The cost is $10 for members and $11 for guests.
