The generous donors were the folks at IBM Machines Co. - that will post a few packages. Thank you to everyone. The dance was organized by the multi-talented postmistress Niki Levesque, at the door were Dolores and Chuck Newsome, Cheryl and Tim Hobbs were in the kitchen, and Rebecca, the mixologist, from C's Pub, and especially all who came and enjoyed the dance. Once again, good music was provided by Vintage.

Helen Parsolano and her daughters Stephanie and Rebecca have returned from a nine-day Fourth of July camping trip at Boyd's Campgrounds in Key West. One of the places they visited was Ernest Hemmingway's home. Here they were impressed by the 60 or more six-toed cats that still reside there. They also enjoyed all types of water sports and the beach, all had a great Fourth, including Grandma Helen Havens who took care of the bird and the bunny at her home we now call the "B&B Inn."

Izaiah Immanuel Butler made his debut on July 3. He came early and weighed in at 3 pounds 15 ounces and was 18 inches long. His proud parents are Maria Kasis and Michael Butler, big sister Jasmine Cope, 11, and brother Tresuan Butler, 4, proud grandparents are Otis and Mary Butler of Miami and grandmother Barbara Johnson who came over from Jacksonville to help out. Congratulations to all.

We welcome to town Maxina Pannell and her daughter Jan Page. Maxine is from Hamburg, Ark., and resided in Brooksville for four years before moving here. Jan hails from Kalamazoo, Mich. and is employed by the Tampa Bay Golf and Country Club.

Get well wishes go out to Brittany Arsenault who is recuperating.

Karen Raimondi and her boyfriend Steve Cuocco recently returned from a week's vacation in Pennsylvania and New Jersey visiting family. Upon arriving in Allentown, Pa., they were met by Steve's family and all enjoyed dinner at Applebee's restaurant. Steve's entire family resides in Pennsylvania, so they were at the home of his parents, Steve and Judith Cuocco of Easton, Pa. a few days; stayed at his brother Kevin's home in Bangor, Pa. (Poconos area), where they enjoyed birthday cake for Kevin's recent birthday and a backyard bonfire in the evening along with a game of kwats on the back deck; visited brother Keith, along with his wife Shannon and daughter Lauren in their new home in Allentown, Pa.; stayed at his sister Kim's home in Bethlehem, Pa., where Kim's hubby Bob told some fascinating stories about his collection of priceless antiques throughout their home.

Some pieces are one of a kind in the world, with a few given to the Smithsonian Institute. His collection is worth millions, but he simply enjoys being surrounded by his treasures.

They drove to Vernon, N.J., and visited with Karen's sister Beverly Pecca and two of her five children, Frank Pecca and Tina Pecca. Frank drives a shuttle service so he was a gracious host driving the couple around the area. The mountains and landscaping provided a serene setting for a very enjoyable day and a half. Karen and Steve then drove to Totowa, N.J., to visit her late grandparents, Mary and Louis Thaler's, homestead, which is more than 100 years old, along with the Barnyard Tavern. Though new owners have renovated the place and renamed it the Barnyard Inn & Carriage House, it still brought back many fond memories. Karen's late Dad, Frank Thaler, often brought her to the homestead where he grew up with his eight siblings.

The trip was concluded with a Fourth of July bash at the home of Steve's cousin Laura and her husband Neil. The catered affair was held in the spacious and elaborately landscaped backyard of the millionaire's mansion in Freehold, N.J. Huge blowup slides for the children were rented for the day, a large pool with a sport area on one end and a diving board on the other, and an open bar for the adults made for an extremely enjoyable party and conclusion to a memorable trip.
