Health Dept. Announces Extended Hours

BROOKSVILLE - Hernando County Health Department's Vital Statistics and Environmental Health offices will adopt extended hours beginning Friday, July 11.
The new hours for Vital Statistics will be from 7:30 a.m. to noon and from 12:30 to 5 p.m.; and Environmental Health will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Both of these departments will remain open Monday through Friday and are located at 15470 Flight Path Drive, which is in the Airport Industrial Park.
The new extended service hours are part of the Health Department's efforts to reduce costs and optimize efficiency by offering employees the option of working four, 10-hour work days per week.
Staggering schedules and allowing for those who prefer the traditional eight-hour work day, enables more opportunity to meet the needs of county residents by opening earlier and closing later.
