Vincent "Vinny" Alfano, 15, of Spring Hill, died Friday, June 27. Born in St. Petersburg, he was a lifelong resident of Spring Hill and a student at Challenger K-8 School of Science and Mathematics.
He was a member of the YMCA and a member of the Hernando Youth Soccer League, a Tae Kwon Do-Brown Tip, and a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic church.
Survivors include his parents, Pamela and Steven Alfano; brothers, Steven Alfano Jr. and Walter Gabrielsen; sisters, Stephanie Alfano and Dina Gabrielsen; paternal grandparents, Barbara and Ralph Alfano; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces and nephews.
Arrangements by Merritt Funeral Home, Spring Hill chapel.

Elvira Ruth Bross, 75, of Spring Hill, died Friday, June 27 at Oak Hill Hospital.
Born in Passaic, N.J., she came here in 1989 from Lodi, N.J. She was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Garfield, N.J.
Survivors include daughter, Leah Ann Bross, of Spring Hill, and many cousins.
Arrangements by Brewer & Sons Funeral Homes, Seven Hills Chapel.

Marion J. Harnisch, 82, of Brooksville, died Monday, June 30 at Hernando Care Center in Brooksville.
Ms. Harnisch was a former beauty shop worker. She was born in Chicago, Ill. and came here 20 years ago.
Survivors include a son, Craig Below of Brooksville; two brothers, Norman Dickson of Brooksville and Marty Dickson of Elk Grove Village, Ill.; a sister, Louise Griffin of Brooksville; three grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
