Work crews Friday were expected to finish repairs on the Four Corners water main break and the southbound lane on Spring Hill Drive should be open today.
The main beneath the Mariner Boulevard-Spring Hill Drive intersection broke Wednesday and crews from D.A.B. Constructors Inc. had to dig a 7- to 9-foot hole to reach the 10-inch pipe.
Community Relations Coordinator Brenda Frazier said the break probably occurred when the mechanical joint fittings worked loose during the initial installation.
There was no interruption of water service during the repair period, Frazier said.
