SPRING HILL - Several suspects took a swing at deputies over the weekend, earning them all a charge of resisting an officer with violence.

Soon after noon on Monday, deputies responded to a domestic violence call at 4346 Goldcoast Ave. and said they could hear a couple yelling.

The victim answered the door and invited deputies into the living room, where her husband, Victor Latty, was sitting on the couch.

As Deputy Matthew Spooner began questioning Latty, the suspect grew "increasingly irate" and took a swing that knocked the sunglasses off Spooner's head, a report states.
Spooner and his backup moved in to take Latty to the ground and eventually a stun gun was deployed to bring him under control.

Two jolts didn't do the trick, though, so Spooner resorted to "knee spikes" on Victor's thigh, also to no avail.

Eventually the two were able to place Latty in a patrol car and shackled his legs. Spooner's backup scratched the top of his hand in the fracas, but didn't need any medical attention.

The victim complained that her husband had a severe drinking problem and that she was "at her wit's end." Latty, 41, was charged with domestic battery for reportedly spitting on and punching his wife, and battery on an officer.

In a separate call, deputies cornered a wanted suspect in a shed where he was sleeping with his girlfriend Friday morning.

The property owner knew they were there, but wanted them taken away because he suspected they were driving stolen all-terrain vehicles, according to a report.
Deputies forced open the door when the suspect refused to come out peacefully and said 36-year-old Johnathon Budowski put up a fight before he was arrested.

Finally, deputies broke up a spat in a bedroom Friday, but not before the two turned on authorities.

It was about 5 a.m. when Deputy Patrick Craven opened the door to the bedroom and William Fiorella "lunged" towards him, according to an affidavit.

Fiorella, 16, was placed on the bed, but he was quickly up again and attempting to attack the deputies, Craven reported.

Meanwhile, Jessica Clappas, also 16, came to Fiorella's aid and attempted to jump the deputies restraining him, a report states.

It was while she was being arrested that Craven said he saw a sandwich bag poking out of the top of her shirt that was holding marijuana.
Fiorella also had a bag of marijuana in his pants pocket, according to a report, so the two were charged for the drugs.
