We All Must Tighten Belts
A big, expensive advertisement came in our mail to vote against "Amendment 1." Seems it was from law enforcement and firefighters.
We are all living taxed out of Florida. Literature claims, "Amendment 1 is reckless property tax scheme that benefits out-of-state property owners."
Well, if something isn't done, we will all have to be out of state (Floridians) who have to move out of state because nothing has been done about taxes. Remember "Charlie" claimed "he" would make taxes drop like a rock?
How many service people voted for him? By the way, I have seen nothing drop like a rock except my bank account.
Now, about firefighters and law enforcement, ladies and gents, you picked that dangerous job. I didn't force any of you people to choose such a dangerous job. It is a very dangerous job; and believe me, you all have my highest regard for placing your lives on the line 24/7.
However, if it is so detrimental to your health and welfare, I would suggest you look for a more passive job because we are all in the same boat! We all have to tighten our belts several notches before better times return. In the meantime, my highest regards to all of you, and may God Bless all of you.
You all seem to do much, with so little. Better times ahead, hopefully.

Tough Cookies To Rall
If there is anything that should amuse Christian conservatives in regards to Ted Rall's liberal masterpiece of swill, it is the very title of his column, "The Dangers of Media Tolerance," Jan. 10 on the editorial page of Hernando Today. He has not only proved he is the prodigal example of liberal intolerance, but has imaged himself as the very danger of media tolerance that he proclaims in light of Christian running presidential candidate, Mike Huckabee.
While Rall found another opportune time to crawl out from underneath his rock long enough to share his drivel about Huckabee, he has given closure to us religious zealots, as he nicely characterizes, just exactly where his intelligent design originates from.
Tough cookies if Rall and his liberal fan club can't tolerate a Christian who relies on the word of God and is proud to say so.

Radical Left-Wing Garbage
In regard to Ted Ralls opinion of Huckabee: I understand being against a candidate for politics, but attacking his fundamentalist beliefs and an outright attack on Christianity was an outrage.
This radical left-wing garbage doesn't belong in a newspaper.
