Human Resources Director Violated County's Code Of Conduct

It is abundantly clear that Hernando County Human Resources Director Barbara Dupre has failed to uphold the integrity of the position she now holds.

The facts are clear that Mr. Gary Kuhl issued her a letter of admonishment and told her to place a copy in her personnel file. She did not; she was insubordinate to her bosses orders. She claims she could not find time over a three-month period of time to open a file folder and place the letter in it as instructed. That would fall into the category of unbelievable since she was able to find time immediately after a reporter for Hernando Today questioned her as to whether the letter of admonishment had been placed in her personnel file.

Ms. Dupre has accused county Commissioner Diane Rowden or someone she knows of gaining access to her office and finding candidate petitions cards near her desk. She has made these accusations without proof or knowledge of who or how this situation became public knowledge. Does she not believe that this would have best been left to people who might have been able to determine if such an act occurred, such as the Hernando County Sheriff's Department?

It is without doubt that Ms. Dupre has violated the county's code of conduct, has been insubordinate to Mr. Kuhl, and has been deceptive in the handling of Mr. Kuhl's letter of admonishment.

Mr. Jennings, it is time to act. The facts are in as presented by Mr. Kuhl. Demotion up to dismissal seems to be in order.
