So Young, So Hateful;
Rall Really Rails
Every morning, I look forward to a good breakfast along with Hernando Today. I don't usually read Ted Rall's editorials, but today was the exception. In the first five paragraphs (that was all I could take) he said "Mike Huckabee may not be smart enough to hold a job; he's a crazy Christian and he won because crazy Christians motivated by anti-Mormon bigotry voted for him. In the Republican Party, hate trumps cash. If Huckabee were Muslim, he'd be a radical Islamist denying separation of church and state." Etc., etc., etc.
Whew! How does someone so young come to hate so passionately? To use one of Hillary's favorite terms, I'm bewildered. I am, however, beginning to understand that there really is a left that promotes fear and the politics of hate. So, Mr. Rall, who do you hate the most? Crazy Christians, Muslims or republicans? Your article, "The Media's Dangerous Tolerance" demonstrates how intollerant liberals are towards those with opposing views.
Frankly, I think you've got us all wrong. As a Christian conservative I can tell you that prior to Huckabee's surge in popularity, Romney was very high on my list. Still is.
Anyway, liberal, hatefilled, dirty politics is ruining my breakfast. By the way, I miss reading articles by the Pharmacist and Direct Answers. Hope Hernando Today will bring them back more often.
Have a good day, Mr. Ralls.

Walking The Walk
I agree Mr. Stathis! I have some good news for you and other Republicans or Americans who are disillusioned with the candidates at large. There is a candidate that fits so much of what the conservative base wants.
I think he is such a good fit that he is being completely ignored by the national media. I am severely disappointed in the national Republican Party that they have not done more to hold this candidate up.
Base Republicans do not want RINOS (Republicans in name only) such as McCain, Huckabee or Guiliani. I know it is a long shot, as this man has not been given the national face time as many of the others. But at least I can say that I have told as many as I can: Duncan Hunter.
Look up his Web site and you will see that in many instances when he not only talked the talk, but he walked the walk.

Apology In Order
All the teachers in Hernando County should be on their guard. The Bingham case is a clear example that the school superintendent does not respect their dedication or their professional commitment.
Please keep in mind that a mere $75 theft allegation was all took for this superintendent to disregard the dedication and commitment that Mr. Bingham clearly displayed throughout his career. An apology is definitely in order - not just for Mr. Bingham - but for all the educators in this county.

Clinton Has Plan
I want to tell you why I am supporting Hillary Clinton: She has good plans and ideas to turn the economy of our country in the right direction. As woman I am proud of her.

Paul Merits Support
If you want to see meaningful change in Washington and want to see our civil rights restored as well as a change to our destructive foreign policy, vote for Ron Paul.
He is the only candidate to recognize that we are not immune from the economic forces that brought down all previous world powers. Watch "Ron Paul Town Hall" on YouTube.
