Authorities are searching for a suspect linked to a series of identity thefts in the Tampa Bay area.
In Hernando County, the suspect cashed forged checks at two Capital City banks on Dec. 5. He is using a Florida driver's license belonging to Michael Ringwald, but the person in bank photos doesn't appear to match Ringwald's description, according to the sheriff's office.
The victim in the Hernando cases is Pasco County's Dream Catcher Homes. So far, the suspect has stolen $2,501.32 using forged checks.
