TAMPA - The five-month slide in gas prices finally came to a halt last week.
The average cost for a gallon of regular gas increased by less than half a cent, according to AAA Auto Club South.
The news was expected. Last week, OPEC announced it was cutting production by more than 2 million barrels per day to offset the decreases in demand.
As of Sunday, the average price for a gallon of regular gas in Florida was $1.703.
The highest-recorded average price was July 16, when a gallon was $4.079.
