The Hernando Beach Yacht Club will host its annual Christmas Boat Parade at 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 20.
All boaters are invited to participate and to test their boat decorating skills. Trophies will be awarded for the best original, best lighted and funniest boats. An entry fee of one new unwrapped toy to be donated to Helping Hands United is requested.
The parade will begin at the yacht club, located at 4163 Shoal Line Blvd., proceed through the main canals and come back to the club. Escorts for the parade will be provided by the U.S. Coast Guard and the Hernando County Sheriff's Marine Patrol.
The public is invited to and enjoy this annual Christmas festivity. Food and beverages will be available for purchase at the club.
