Woman Arrested For Selling Pills To Teen
BROOKSVILLE - A 47-year-old woman was arrested Tuesday after deputies say she sold a teenager her prescription painkiller.
The 17-year-old victim sold his video game console on Nov. 6 for $42 so he could pay for the Xanax. The suspect, Patrice Breshears, of 8379 Evergreen Ave., provided the required adult signature, a report shows. Authorities say the teen later wound up overdosing on the pills.
Investigators recorded a phone call between the victim and Breshears on Nov. 7 in which the suspect reportedly admitted to giving the teen 15 pills.
She is charged with sale of a controlled substance and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
