Nobuko K. "Nobi" Kay, 88, of Spring Hill, died Monday, Aug. 25, at her home. She was born in Orillia, Wash., and moved to this area three years ago from Wheeling, Ill.
Mrs. Kay was a caterer, a founding member of St. Hilary's Episcopal Church, Prospect Heights, Ill., a volunteer leader for the Girl Scouts USA for eight years, and a member of St. Hilary's Episcopal Church, Prospect Heights.
Survivors include her daughter, Kathleen Ravenscraft of Tarpon Springs; a brother, David Katagiri of San Diego, Calif.; two grandchildren; two great- grandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.

Sarah A. Sponton, 97, of Spring Hill, died Friday, Aug. 22, at Crown Pointe. She was born in Watervliet, N.Y., and moved to this area 40 years ago from Brooklyn, New York.
Mrs. Sponton was a Methodist by faith.
Survivors include two sons, Joseph Sponton of Spring Hill and Kelvin Sponton of Washington; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Edwardo Marti, 75, of Spring Hill, died Tuesday, Aug. 26, at Spring Hill Regional Hospital. He was born in Valencia, Spain, and moved to this area 27 years ago from Shelton, Conn.
Mr. Marti retired from Seal Corp., Naugatuck, Conn., as a foreman. He was a member of St. Theresa Catholic church.
He is survived by his wife, Ramona.

Edward Sheren, 91, of Spring Hill, died Monday, Aug. 25. He was born in Hartford, Conn., and moved to this area from Connecticut.
Mr. Sheren was a retired detective from the Hartford, Conn. Police Department and a member of the Hartford Police Veterans Association and Hernando Jazz Association.
Survivors include two daughters, Dianne Pfau and Betsy Veseskis of East Hartford, Conn.; a sister, Florence Wilson; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; and his companion, Margaret Cody of Spring Hill.

Roger P. Gonzales, 69, of Spring Hill, died Tuesday, Aug. 26, at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Unit, Chatman Boulevard, Brooksville. He was born in Chicago, Ill., and moved to this area 17 years ago from Downer Grove, Ill.
Mr. Gonzales worked as a consultant for AT&T. He was a member of American Legion Post 0400 and FOE 4373, and attended St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Ann.

Sheila R. Fiermonte, 64, of Weeki Wachee, died Tuesday, Aug. 26, at Crown Pointe of Spring Hill. She was born in Jersey City, N.J., and moved to this area five years ago from Swampscott, Mass.
Mrs. Fiermonte was a nurse for Harvard Pilgrim Health Care and attended St. Theresa Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband, Nicholas; a daughter, Nicole Greenway of Charleston, S.C.; a brother, John Ryan of Toms River, N.J.; and a grandchild.

Judith Ann McDougal, 48, of Brooksville, died Wednesday, Aug. 27, at Kindred Hospital, Tampa. She was a lifetime resident of Brooksville.
Mrs. McDougal was a Baptist by faith.
Survivors include her son, Wayne McDougal of Brooksville; two brothers, Delbert K. Smith and James Smith, both of Brooksville; a sister, Sheryl Smith of Brooksville; and a grandson.
