Walter Alder, 96, of Weeki Wachee, died Sunday, Aug. 24, at Hernando-Pasco Hospice House, Cortez Boulevard, Brooksville. He was born in London, England, and moved to this area 18 years ago.
Mr. Alder was a major in the British Army and retired after 30 years. He had coached the British Army Soccer League.
Survivors include his wife, Mary; a son, Ronald Alder of England; a daughter, Maureen Morris of England; a stepson, Kenneth of New Jersey; four grandchildren; a great-grandson; two stepgrandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.

Robert E. Blanchard, 90, of Spring Hill, died Sunday, Aug. 24, in Spring Hill. He was born in Detroit, Mich., and moved to this area 25 years ago from Dearborn, Mich.
Mr. Blanchard was a U.S. Army-Air Corps veteran and served four years. He was a member of Brooksville Elks Lodge 2582 and the Hernando Jazz Society. He was an Episcopalian by faith and attended Forest Oaks Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy D.; a daughter, Ann Knutsen; two sons, Michael and Richard Blanchard; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Louise B. Tebeau-Galvin, 91, of Spring Hill, died Monday, Aug. 25. She was born in Everett, Mass., and moved to this area 24 years ago.
Mrs. Tebeau-Galvin was a homemaker and a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church.
Survivors include a son, Roy Goodearl of Centennial, Colo.; two daughters, Gail Lane and Cheryl Stone, both of Spring Hill; four granddaughters; a great-granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews.

Sylvia C. Kerin, 100, of Spring Hill, died Monday, Aug. 25, at Forest Oaks Care Center. She was born in Leitchfield, Ky., and moved to this area 20 years ago from Louisville, Ky.
Mrs. Kerin retired from Von Almond Preserving Company as a canner and was a Protestant by faith.
Survivors include her son, Charles Quiggins of Spring Hill; a brother, Edward Blanton of Leitchfield; a sister, Eva Roeder of Shepherdsville, Ky.; two grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
